Good morning everyone. We're going to wait a few more seconds as people continue to arrive in the web and R before we formally get started. But for those of you who are now in the session, welcome and we're going to get started formally in just a few more seconds.
Again, hello and welcome to those who are already in the room. We're just going to wait a few more seconds as people continue to arrive into the web and R and then we're going to formally get started again. Welcome to launch.
Alright, so I think people will continue to trickle on in, which is totally OK, but for times sake I wanted to go ahead and get started formally with our virtual launch today. So hello and welcome to your virtual launch. Half of the office of new student and vision services here at the Colorado School of mines. We would like to formally welcome you to our campus.
We're so glad that you're going to be joining the order. Your community.
My name is Nick Dietrich and I serve as the assistant director here in the office of new student and transition services here at mines and you and your family should be so proud of everything that you've accomplished so far for you to be able to get to this point, right? Starting college is going to be incredible experience and you should be very, very proud of yourselves. Although we certainly wish that we could be together in person here on this campus today doing launch. We do hope that the webinars today coupled with our online orientation.
Worse in canvas, which is our learning platform as well as the peer discussion that the students will be able to have later on today with their launch leaders are going to be really helpful for you as you and your families transition to the car to school minds this coming fall.
Before I kind of talk about what today is going to look like and sort of how it's going to work, I would like to introduce you to other people who are really key players in our office that have played a huge role in making today happen. So I would invite Jessica and DePaul to come on an introduce themselves to you, and then we'll go ahead and get started.
Good morning everyone. My name is Jessica Keefer. I'm the director of new student transition services at mines. Nick is going to be doing a great job of moderating for you today, but I just wanted to give you a little introduction as to what our office does. So In addition to this launch orientation that you're experiencing today, we will also be putting on our virtual or Digger camp in a few weeks. We are also the ones that coordinate your fall kick-off which is the orientation when you first come to campus in the fall.
Um, as well as lots of fun activities around that. And then we also coordinate your CS M1 Course, which is your first year seminar course that everyone takes when you get to minds. It's a beautiful day in Golden, Co. We wish that you could be here with us. The sun is shining. You can see the mountains, but you will definitely get here soon enough and we're excited to show you around when you do get here, uhm, I do want to just acknowledge that things are stressful right now for lots of people, and it's a difficult time.
Lots of people right now, and we respect that, so I wanted to make sure you were aware that you know you find at times today that you forgot to ask a question or there's something that you didn't exactly remember from contact content that we're giving out today we are going to be recording a future session and putting it on line. I mean, we were also coordinating and FA Q for you that will be available that you can go back in. Refer to just so you don't feel responsible to retain every single thing that you're getting.
Right now, so again, thank you so much for being with us and I'm going to turn it over to Paul.
Everybody, my name is DePaul Straub and I am currently serving serving as the intern for orientation and transition programs here at Colorado School of mines. I am very excited to be here with all of you and for you to get to do your discussions with our launch leaders later today. An I will be. You'll see me probably in the chat box answering some questions throughout. So welcome to minds.
Great thank you both Jessica and a pool. Like I mentioned, I would like to just give you an overview what today is going to look like before we get started. So as you can see today I'm going to post the schedule on the screen. We're going to have three different sort of chunks of presentations, each with a break. A small break in between them. So as you can see will have financial aid. Bursts are in residence life 1st and at the end of each of those three sections will have a Live Q&A.
Will you be able to ask questions and so I want to be able to talk about how you're going to do that. So at any point in the end today's webinar anytime that you're watching that, you should see a chat box on the left side of your screen.
Feel free to post any questions that you have in that chat box and we're going to be answering those questions in a variety of ways. Either we will answer your question directly in the chat box or will save your question for the end of that chunk of presentations and will ask that question in lifetime to our presenter so they can answer those questions for you. If we are unable to answer or get to all the questions that are asked today, we're keeping a tally of those questions and we were going to be answering them and getting back to people with answers. As Jessica mentioned, we're also going to be posting AQ and a document on our website.

When/how should we be receiving our blaster cards? I filled out the form a few weeks ago, but haven't heard anything since.
Will you be able to kind of understand a lot of the common questions that are asked and seek answers to those questions as well? So again, feel free to post questions throughout any part of the presentations today. I'll be moderating the question and answer period at the end of each of those chunks of sessions today, and again will be joining our best to get through all the questions. But we want to make sure that you are able to leave today with questions answered. And if you do, forget to ask a question or want to know more information will provide information for how to do that. At the end of today as well.
So without any further ado, I'm going to invite the first office to present today, which is going to be financial aid.
I hope you are doing well, and um, as just said, it's a bit stressful nowadays, but we are hanging in from home. I apologize for the glare off my glasses, but I need them in order to read my slide. So also was just said.
We you may forget to ask a question. It's not a death sentence. As you can see on the screen right now our email is finaid@minds.edu. Please feel free to to just send us an email. Will be happy to get back with you. So my name is pig Mason. I am with the financial aid at Colorado School of mines. I have been there since 1989 and so it doesn't mean that I know everything. It just means I know a lot of people who do so.

Nice name, Jessica! :) If you did not get a Blaster card in your welcome box from us, you will most likely receive it when you get to campus in the fall. If you have any questions about Blaster Card specifically, you can find information and contacts here: https://www.mines.edu/student-life/blastercard/
As Nick said, please put in the chat box any kind of questions that you might have, or send us an email. You'll also see our website righttherefinaid.minds.edu.
One of the ways that families can keep in touch with us is by subscribing to our newsletter. I promise we do not inundate you, but we do put out some timely information for you, letting you know a deadlines. Just some things that are coming up. So if you go to the address right right there and then go to subscribe to our newsletter. Also, here's some contact information.
We're happy to get back with you.
On your trail, head for the students. This gives them this pattern right here. All these different boxes that we may tell you. Go to the blue box to take a look at things that are required that maybe we're missing some documentation. That kind of thing. Scholarship information. There's just general financial aid awards, work, study, work, study. You don't have to do anything.
For that until August, so just there's lots of different information that we have on the trail head that you can find out grades, all sorts of things on your trail head. So you want to make sure that you get familiar with the trail head.

What if we never received a welcome box??
As many of you have been impacted by the current situation of COVID-19, we do understand that your income may have changed what it looks like from what the facts are asked for in 2018 on our website under the finaid dot mind study du we do have what's called a parent contribution review form, and there are several different ones depending on your circumstance.
But there is one specific to COVID-19, so be sure that if you need to go ahead and fill that out, submit that to us. We're happy to take it the email at Finaid at mind study you or you can upload it if you want to upload it, please email us 'cause we have to put a code out there on a certain screen in order to do that for you, but we're happy to make it so that you can up.
A timeline right at the moment. Just be sure that your students are checking to make sure that they have submitted everything that's in that blue box on that front page of trail head that you can check that out sometime in the next, probably week or two will be sending out loan information that will let you know how to apply for loans, what the lungs look like, that kind of thing. Also students, be sure that you're reporting to us.
Jessica Keefer
10:12:00 AM
Everyone registered for a Launch event should receive a welcome box from us around the time of their event. If you have not yet gotten yours, it is most likely on the way! Keep an eye out on the mail. If you do not receive it by friday, please email us at nest@mines.edu
Outside scholarships there's a place on our website to do that so that we're prepared for those.

Do parents have a separate login ? Or we use our students?
In July, we will have uhm or ask you to do all of your requirements, so if there's anything missing to finish that up and then also to apply for your student loans if you want them. Whether it's federal loans, private loans, that kind of thing in August, your financial aid, whatever we have processed will disperse prior to class starting just for fall.
Jessica Keefer
10:12:46 AM
Hi, Rachel- are you asking about a login for financial information?
So we only do one semester at a time and then in September your account is do anything that is left over. If there is a balance, do 10 days into the semester, so make sure that your bill is taken care of prior to the due date in September. That's handled by a bursars office and they'll talk to you a little bit more about that.
So then, um, communicating with us, as I said, really easy, just email us. Um, at finaid@mines.edu students, please use your app, my Mail account. That what that does is gives us the security that that really is you that we're talking about so that we can communicate with you with very private information. Be sure that you include your campuswide ID number.
So that we make sure that we get the right student. We hate to be talking about the wrong student kind of thing. Again, please sign up for our newsletter. Get to know us. Eric handles A through G last names myself. I handle age through Anne Anne Anne handles oh through Z. Always like to point out this little picture. You may not be able to see it, but it's a student right outside my window in my office.

Thank you so much peg for talking about financial aid. We had seen some questions coming in and will make sure that we get those asked during our Q&A time. At the end of this first chunk of sessions or will answer your questions in the chat box as possible. So now I would like to invite the bursars office to introduce themselves 1st and then we're going to show you a video and then at the end again Kevin from the doctor's office will be available to answer questions as well. So Kevin take it away.
Thanks Derek. Hi my name is Kevin bratcher. Uhm I'm a cashier in part of the Broussard Office team. I've been with the Colorado School of mines going on, uh will be five years. At this point, I'm now going to invite a representative from the office of residence life to come on and talk with you a little about their office and how they're going. Just import your student on campus this fall, Mary. Take it away.
Hi thanks Nick. Hi Everyone, my name is Mary Elliott. I served mines as the director of residence life and housing and just welcome. I want to say that I recognize that there is so much going on that probably lay heavy on all of your hearts and do lay heavy on mine as well.

where in trailhead do we waive the insurance
So thank you for taking the time to be with us today, and hopefully it's helpful for you and you. I'm excited for you students to get to know other students in your.
In your group, that'll be awesome. I know your leaders are really looking forward to it anyway, digression residence life. Our focus is to create a place where you feel safe and at home, accepted and welcomed. and I can assure you that we work very hard to make sure that all of our students are see their home on campus as a second as home away from home.
Jessica Keefer
10:22:38 AM
We will have Kathy from SHIP presenting later this morning and she will be able to answer this question!
Jennifer Phou
10:22:43 AM
Hi Melissa, you can enroll or waive SHIP by going to Trailhead > Self-Service > Student > Registration > Enroll/Waive Student Health Insurance Plan
We are a group of people, a large office and then lots of students. Staff who are here to support you in your education on campus and both your social life and your academic life.
This is when I always forget how to move on to the next slide. There it goes.
We have pillars that we live by in that we ask our students to take and take in as part of their commitment to being a part of the minds, residence, life, community and they revolve around inclusion, respect.
Community learning and responsibilities that these five things are things that everything that we do in residence. Life is centered around these five things. Uhm, we every program that you will attend every email that you are given is meant to show you these things to include you and to and to show that we have a responsibility to our community. And we asked the same of you.
And we're so excited your coming here, and we know that it's a funky year, right? And when you and that you have had a lot of things change for you and I hate that I'm sorry for that, and I have to say that we have made some changes in residence life as well to keep you safe and to keep you healthy.
Um, so this is information I want you to know. I want you to know that we have housing available. We are working to make sure that we have enough housing available for everyone and in that housing we are paramount to what we're thinking about. Is your safety and your health.
Is not our intention to when we come back in the fall and it is the school's intention to do so. And therefore it is our intention to house you. But we are working on ways to make that possible. And So what we've done, I want you to know that part of what are what we've been trying to do is D densify are halls the last few years you may be aware we have been in triples. Almost every student has been in a triple room that is not physical distancing by any means.
People were very up close and personal with one another and now we're on the opposite end of that, an needing to kind of create some space between our students. Luckily, we're opening 2 new halls, one of which will house are upper class students and that you'll have the opportunity to live in next year. But the other one is a first year building spruce Hall, and so we have we have space for all of our students under normal circumstances. Now I will tell you we are lifting and I'm hoping that you gotten.
Sam Leonard
10:25:34 AM
What is the schedule for this meeting? I missed it earlier.
Jessica Keefer
10:25:42 AM
10:00-10:45 AM MST - Financial Aid Office, Bursars Office, & Office of Residence Life - Information on how financial aid works at Mines, how to set up your account to pay bill, and information about move-in and other important Residence Life details.
11:00-11:45 AM MST - Center for Academic Services and Advising & Registrar's Office - Information on advising and course enrollment.
12:00-12:45 PM MST - Health Center, Counseling Center, & Student Health Insurance Program - Learn about resources from these offices and how health insurance will work for students.
Now from housing@mines.edu, but let you know that we were lifting the housing livan requirement for our first year students. What we're hoping that does is give you a little space to make a decision about where you're most comfortable living. Perhaps it's at home. Perhaps it's an apartment off campus. Both of those to help you.
Distance yourself and maybe you have family members. Or you might not be able to interact with a bunch of other people and safely interact with your family members as well. So we just want you to know that you were invited this year to not live on campus. It kills me to say that I really, really love to have all of our students here, but it is the safest thing and I want you to be not the safest thing to not live on campus, but I want you to be able to make the choice for yourself. That is the most safe.
Geoffrey Pott
10:26:42 AM
Sorry, came in about 15 min. late. Will this presentation and its slides be recorded?
And most comfortable thing. So you have options. We ask that you let us know so that email that we sent to you did ask that you let us know if you are planning to live off campus. Please do that. Please look through your minds email if you haven't done that yet, it's really important that you do and look for an email from housing@mines.edu that explains more about lifting the first year. Livan requirement. I want you to know that we're following guidelines from the CDC national state local.
Health leaders and our institutional leaders to figure out how to Best House you on campus. And one of those one of the options that we were looking at means that many of our bedrooms will be designated as one person. Rooms. We do anticipate that some double rooms will be available, but I want to prepare you for that. We are really taking physically distance it physical distancing seriously, which is part of our effort to densify the halls.
Jessica Keefer
10:27:37 AM
A later Launch event will be recorded, and that will be available on our website after 7/1. Much of the information and many presentations are also available on our Launch Orientation Canvas page.
So I want you to be prepared for that. Um, we are committed to housing everybody who needs to be housed, and that may mean that we are looking for alternative areas to house folks in. I also want you to know that move in, and I know that you've received the notice from Jessica's office. That or Digger Camp will be virtual this year. They're really working hard to do some awesome things for you, but I know it's different than being here on in person.
And with that, some of your dates for moving will change, so we're working on trying to remain to keep that last or Digger camp.
Um there moving day. The same so that it doesn't disrupt. If you have plans or anything. We're working on that I will tell you all that whether you were going to or Digger camp or not, that tentative start dates for move in are going to be moved back. We know again to keep people safe and healthy and not have thousands of people on campus moving in at one time, which is how we usually do it. We are going to start on Sunday, August 16th and go through the 20th. We will have to assign you dates and times based on where you're assigned living.
And we're in the process of doing assignments, but again, our process just ended. So June 1st is today. Today is the last day that you can apply for housing. So if you are planning on living on campus in residence life, housing that deadline is today.
Make sure again continue to check your emails. It is my commitment to you that we will communicate often and that we will communicate as much as we possibly can when we have answers for you. So please just keep checking your email.
OK, um next slide is oh, I want you to know that if when you come to campus this is what Golden looks like today. Actually it's beautiful today except no clouds.
Jessica Keefer
10:29:50 AM
Many of your questions will be answered by our panelists shortly
Your resident Advisors. You will have a resident advisor assigned to your community. You also have a community director, which is an upper class student who has been an RA and kind of knows the ropes. They help as well, and residence life coordinators will work and live in your building as well. A residence life coordinator or else as we call them. They are professionals who have Masters degrees in student.
Affairs administration or higher education and that means they have Masters degrees in you all as college students. So they like you so much that they went to extra schooling just to learn how to work best with you and support you best.
We encourage you to get involved. It will look different this year. Getting involved will be a little different, but we are. We do have roles that you can get involved within an organization that's run through residence life called RH a, so the residence Hall Association. You'll have an opportunity to become involved in your Hall or you could be involved in our larger campus wide organization. They create awesome programs for the rest of campus, so they put on fun.
Advance and activities for you to get involved with, so that's something that interests you. We would love to have. You can follow them on social media at those in those areas and then apply to be a resident advisor or a desk assistance so will will pay you to work with us too, and we're looking for always some really incredible creative students who care a lot about their fellow students to work with us.
I hope jokes OK. If you have questions, I know we're going to go into the question, period.
Right now, but that may not. You know if you don't get your question as answered or if you have more of a question that's maybe just as a specific situation for you and your family, please email. Us.housing@mines.edu is the best way to get ahold of us. They it's a central place that we check constantly and emails are responded to as fast as we can and a lot of our information is up on our website, so I just usually there's. There's the link.
But you can also just Google residence life at mines and you'll get us. I look forward to answering your questions. Thanks everybody.
Great, thank you so much Mary. A man I'm going to invite the other two panelists as well to breed, broadcast themselves and we're going to now do a Live Q&A with these three offices. And so we have seen your questions come in and we are working to either answer them in the chat box or right now. Again, if we don't get to your question, we have it documented and we will make sure that we enter it on the best of our abilities and get back to you.
I do also want to just let you know that we see a lot of shift questions come in and we are having Kathy from that office later on this morning. Talk about ship and so she we're actually saving some of those questions for later on in today's session. So if you have a ship question and it hasn't been answered yet, don't worry. We will get to those questions just later on when Kathy's here. She's the expert and in that section of our presentations so.
I will, I'll just with the questions for the panelists and so here we go.
So this is for financial aid. Do parents have a separate login for financial aid or do they use their students information? How do parents access financial aid information on the website?
Great question on it's kind of hard to get used to, but when it comes to financial aid directly, that is the students information. Now overall when we receive emails, phone calls, that kind of thing from parents, we can answer it in such a way to answer the question with.
Out violating the Ferpa laws and the UM students privacy, we all know that there are very lots of different family machinations, and so we want to respect that. So overall, if it's some specific details we communicate with the student. But obviously the student is more than welcome to forward an email that kind of thing, or.
Come to the office together or to do a conference call and we're happy to do any of that so, but there is not a specific login for parents.
Who do we get in contact with to establish Colorado residency?
We want to wish in Sandpoint.
Actually, I believe once a student is already on campus then the registrar handles residency. If its prior to their enrollment than admissions handles it.
Perfect into ever ask a question, registrar's going to be in the next set of presentations so we can ask that question there as well to get the perfect clarification.
Ian Stonecypher
10:35:10 AM
I understand that freshmen are not required to have a freshman meal plan now. It is possible to eat in Mines Market and other places without a meal plan? Can I just use my own cash?
Do outside scholarships take away from any merit based scholarships that we received for mines?
DePaul Straub
10:35:25 AM
You can pay for dining with cash as well!
Some question, um, generally speaking, no. The only time that that would come into play is if you had so many scholarships, which would be awesome that you end up getting to the point where you're beyond the cost of attendance. But in general terms, no, there's one exception to that is that your merit based scholarship, called the President Scholarship that covers tuition and fees. If you've got another.
Outside scholarship that covers 100% of your tuition and fees than our merit based scholarship goes away for the time that you received that one. So if you only receive it for a year, then it only goes away for a year.
Will the college opportunity fund stipend be applied for Colorado residents and will the and when will the bill bill be deducted?
Oh, that's probably a question for me.
You should see the step and if you've gotten in um registered number one with the state and then of course.
Register online through trailhead in authorize us. It should be should be applied to the first bill that comes out first part of August.
Goodwill change up and down up and student makes changes before census date. It'll add or subtract depending on their their their credit hours.
Mary Elliott
10:36:59 AM
First year students living on campus are still required to have a meal plan. If students are living off campus they can purchase food in any dining location with a credit card or cash. Students living off campus can also purchase a voluntary or commuter meal plan. There are lots of options that might be helpful!
Alright, so residence life we have a lot of questions so I'm just gonna stop with them. Or do I like I said, we'll do our best to get to them all answered, and if not we will follow up with you all with those answers are OK the first one.
Uh, how will room and board costs vary with the one person? The two person in the off campus options? Will you know one person room be significantly more expensive? Would you project living off campus to be significantly cheaper?
Yeah, that's the question, sorry.
Those are some questions. OK? Uhm, we are so I've just submitted three different housing proposals to our leadership team, so those include what I talked about.
The leadership team are they are going to look at those and figure out.
How those best go with what they are hoping the fall semester will like class wise.
So right now I'm I wish I really wish I had more answers for you. I'm so sorry we're still working really **** ** this uhm housing rates. what I can tell you is that the housing rates were.
Are published on our website being anticipated housing rates, and that's what you should.
I don't know right now how we will be assessing those housing rates, so I I just asked for your patience. I know that's really hard to do, but I will assure you that we're working on trying to make housing as equitable as we can, and with knowing that we have to make changes to our housing assignments. Nick, there was the last part of that question and I missed it. Can you?
It was just the kind of more about the off campus would you are off campus?
I've we do assessments every year of off campus housing. Uhm, and there's a lot of. There's a wide range of you could be like in house with a few other students and pay significantly less than you would living in the residence halls. There are also apartment and housing options in the city of Golden that are more expensive than our housing, so it's kind of just to your comfort level wand and whatever is available. I will know housing is available in Golden right now. We get.
Notices from people who run apartments or people who are looking for specifically mine students. They like to have mine students 'cause generally here.
And by you to look and see what is out there. Uh, if you do live on campus, there was a question about meal plans. I want to address it really fast. Nick is that? If that's OK.
If you live on campus, you are required of a meal plan. There's no kitchens that you know. If you're living in one of the residence halls, you'll need to have a meal plan. If you do live off campus, you are not required to have a meal. Plan it then. Although there are some commuter meal plans available, but all of our dining areas take credit cards and cash as well.
Um, what if my roommate and I still want to room together? We are comfortable sharing a room, even during kovid. We already spend significant time together outside of school. Is that an option?
So I appreciate that question and I it it may be an option. It really may so.
At this point, I again I. I'm sorry I wish I could tell you that I that those decisions have been made. They are working on them well above well above me on campus. They are working really hard to make sure they're making responsible decision, so I understand that some of our students who want to live in a double do know a roommate and Woods and do spend time with them. But that's not true for everyone, and we have lots of students who come from all over the country.
You know who have different things going on in their lives, and so that's part of the reason that we're looking at single rooms for people. So I want to tell you that may be an option for you. It's not one that I make lightly, trust me, but it definitely, but I also want you to be prepared that it that might not be the option for you this year.
Another question about sort of how rooms are going to be assigned so our students are able to be assigned rooms, or's residence life, going to take that over and assign rooms for students now.
Yeah, depending on what, the, UM, the decisiones. I think probably we will be assigning rooms manually this year.
Well, we will do that based on your preferences that you have put in your housing application as much as we possibly can, but we do know.
Just however, we need to configure those rooms might not be easy to have you assign yourself, so we will be doing the bring your preferences. So again today's that deadline, but your you can go in today. And if you need to make changes or request a roommate, you can again will try to go along with your preferences, but we will be assigning this year.
But what do we know about the TLC's and how they're going to be working moving forward? Is it possible to being a TLC even if you are living off campus?
Oh, I love those questions. So, um, we're still we're still really committed to making sure that people can be in a TLC. And we know that those if we, if everyone's in a single, that those numbers will be much smaller than they have been in the past. So we may be.
We you know we maybe we're going to have to figure out how to assign those, but we are committed to having them in some way, shape or form. So I would say yes, our commitment would be if you are part of a TST, but you're decisiones to live off campus, but you've been accepted to a TLC. Now we would make every effort to help to include you in those communities, even though you wouldn't be actually living there, but we would hope that you would that we would really work hard to include you so.
Ambiguous as everything I'm saying is that big Euless, but I want you to know that will work hard to try to get that to happen for you.
Great thank you Mary. We have a few questions, is just about Sortof, Uhm. When are people going to know if they are placed in a single or double?
It will going to commit. Expect to hear their placement.
So the University is committed to letting you know by mid June, letting us all know by mid June what our plan is for the fallen, what what we will be working on. So with that will be housing decisions so I we will once those decisions are made we will work to get people in rooms.
Um, as quickly as we are able to, so I would anticipate. I'm hoping what I'm really hoping for. Uh, for you is that you would know where you're living after the 4th of July. By that second week of July is what I'm hoping.
This question is for Bursar. When is the day to pay for the fall semester?
Data pay is the day after.
Happened to make a note that a census day is the 9th of September, so it would be the do with the day after.
And that will probably be noted on the email as well, so it is well so explained on that as well.
Kevin, this is also for you. If we have applied for the OS through the state and have updated trailhead to authorize minds to collect the money. Well this amount be showing as a deduction when we get the tuition bill.
It'll actually if you, uh, see your eBay little show as a credit.
Yeah, and I not sure exactly how much. I know that they have changed the amount per credit hour, but it will show up as a credit in the credit column, just as maybe a partial payment tuition would show up.
Some also student is writing that says they had a full took. They had a full tuition including fees and books for mines. I think a scholarship, uhm, but they come.
Got other outside scholarships as well. What happens with that money if they're going to be living at home and not seemed in the residence halls?
What we do is all financial aid, whether it's federal aid, whether it's mines, aid outside, we put that all on the students account. Anything that exceeds what is owed to minds will be refunded. Most of it would go to the student. However, if any part of it is a parent. Plus L'm then that money would either go back to the parent or to the student based on their instructions.
So, but yes, you can use some of that money to, you, know Purchas Food and that kind of thing at home.
Amelia couple questions from students about if they've changed their mind since may be submitting their housing application, and now they may want to live at home or do something different. How does that process work? What would you like for them to do with your office?
So again, check your my Mail account. We gave instructions when when I sent that email out letting you know that we've lifted the housing. The on campus requirement. We ask. There's a link in there that asks you to let us know what your plans are. So if you would go on to that link and it's essentially our waiver link, you're, you're just, you're not asking permission. You're just letting us know that you've changed your mind and that you are going to live away from campus this year.
Uh, so please feel free to fill that out, but we do ask you to tell us so that we know where you are, that you have secure housing. That's a very one of the biggest things I worry about is that students don't have secure housing, so please make sure that you have it and then let us know. And yeah, and then you're good. Even if you've applied. If you applied we will not will look and see if you have changed your mind. Just let us know.
Wait, a student asked that. Do they have to live in residence Hall in order to apply to be a desk assistant for example?
No, lots of our desk assistants are upper class students who don't live in the residence halls. So no, absolutely not.
A couple of students, I think this is just clarifying questions about the sort of the time slot to choose a room. So just to clarify with you made, there are no longer going to receive a time slot that's really done manually from your office, correct?
Yeah, I know there's a lot.
Uh, just bear with me. I'm trying to keep up with other questions.
Bear with me as I looked through all these questions.
And again, if we don't get to him today, please email our office. We're happy to answer them.
We had a question about the suites in Weaver. The suites in Weaver be reduced to a certain extent, and if So what would that look like? Where do we go from eight students to before or?
So all of our so there. Like I said, there are different scenarios that we're looking at. Some of those are reduced, some of those are keeping Weaver kind of as it is most of our.
Most of our proposals for different scenarios for housing have to do with bathrooms and how many students would be sharing a bathroom or sharing bathroom facilities. So in Weaver Towers there Seven or eight students sharing two bathrooms, which puts about three students, three or four students per fixture in the bathrooms. This is what I do now is think about bathroom fixtures, but so that.
Um, so in that way we're asking students part of the communication you'll get from a student says that you will play a big role in keeping things clean that you will.
That your bathroom will be wiped down after you use different mixtures. Things like that. So again we verse specifically, but all of the residence halls there are different scenarios that we're looking at and those are based on those bathroom fixtures.
OK, thank you um 2 two questions. One is, I think, pretty quick. As an RA. You can start being are as a second year student correct? You can apply this awesome. I love that students already thinking about ways to get involved. It's great.
How will mines handle refunds to room and board at the University closes fully? Judah COVID-19.
That's another question that we're looking at as well. Having decided to open, we know that there will. We are also working on putting a plan in place to let you know, kind of how things would work and how the year may be altered to begin with. So again, that's not a residence life decision. I say, you know, it's kind of a University leadership decision and that kind of goes with lots of other decisions that they're working on, but we will.
Out, why not? When we're uhm.
Hopefully mid June when you're getting more information about what fall will look like academically, what fall will look like in housing things like that.
We've had asked most of the questions that we can answer in our session right now. Again, if there are some questions that we haven't answered, we will definitely keep track of those questions and get back to you. But I didn't want to thank you all. Three of you marry Kevin and paid for being here this morning talking about your offices and how to support students. I really appreciate it. Again, students families. If you have additional questions, feel free to reach out to those individual offices and there are more than happy to help you.
At this point I would just like to let you all know that we're going to have a quick break, so feel free to do whatever you need to do.
And we will resume at 11:00 AM Mountain Standard Time. So just in about 8 minutes or so. So feel free to take a small break and will start our next session representations at just about 8 minutes or so. Thank you all for being here.

how do we report outside scholarships?
Nicholas Dietrich
10:58:09 AM
Hi Ty, you can report your outside scholarships on Trailhead. In the Orange Section under Financial Aid, click on the button where you can click and report your outside scholarships.
Alright, welcome back, hope you had a nice quick refreshing break and now we're going to begin our next set of presentations were going to be focused really around advising courses. How your course is, how you, how you are enrolled in your course is what your schedule look like your first semester and beyond at minds. And so this is the next chunk of presentations. Again, we will have both offices present 1st and then at the end will be a Q&A Live.
Format as well. So again, keep asking your questions in the chat box. We can see all of the questions that you were asking, and again we will get to those in a variety of ways, but we will ensure that at some point your questions are answered that you feel like you have left today feeling like your questions are answered and you know what you need to do on your end. So at this point I would like to welcome the representative from Casa which is the Center for academic services in advising who is going to share with you a little bit about their office and how you will work with them a lot in your time at minds.
Yep, and everybody. I'm so excited to be presenting to today. I'm sorry that were not on campus and we don't get to actually physically be together. But I am excited that we're able to meet together virtually. I look forward to answering any questions that you have about our office. I will be reviewing the information about what we provide to you in Casa or Center for academic services in advising. and I look forward to meeting you in person sometime soon. So my name is Jen Drum. I have the pleasure of serving as the director of Casa.
I've been at mines for almost 3 1/2 years and I love working with students, so an families so again, feel free to let me know what your questions are and I'll walk you through what we have.
So our office provides academic advising, an academic support services, so a little bit about who we are and where we are. Our team of Professional Advisors are here for you. Our job is to provide with you information about all of our economic programs help you succeed in an out of your classes. We really want you to have the best experience possible at minds, so will work with you in advise you through our core curriculum and I'll walk you through what that is.
And then we also provide all these academic support services for you. So that's our team. We've had a little bit of change. We're actually hiring a new advisor right now, so I'll give you more information about that soon as well. And we are located actually in a house, so one of our sayings is me, Casa Su Casa. We're Casa and we are in a small house. We have study Hall in the back of our house. We have a really welcoming atmosphere, and so we really encourage students just to come and hang out and see us. It's a really nice, welcoming space.
I'm going to walk you through first or academic support services and then we'll dive into advising in little bit our academic support services can fall into one of four different categories. Faculty in Costa tutoring academic coaching ankor review sessions. Faculty in Casa is a program that's actually an award winning program where we bring faculty 2 Costa. You may have heard and encourage an encouraging word from someone who says you should go visit your faculty in their office hours, so that's kind of a good thing to do.
As you start off your collegiate career an we couldn't agree more, we really encourage you to do that and get to know your faculty as people that they were in college once as well and they really want to help you do well in your classes and understand the material. But we also understand that it can be intimidating going into a new academic building. Walking down the Hall and going into someone's office so we bring them to Casa in this kind of neutral location.
And so when you're in Casa, whether you're using or print or just studying, you can go speak with your faculty members. We bring in faculty from many of our core courses, so likely you are having them in class. And then you're also seeing them in Costa, so it's just a really nice enjoyable location and you can meet with him one on one. Sometimes they'll do study groups and impromptu review sessions, typically on a Friday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock you can find many students studying physics in process, so that's just become kind of our hang out session and then it tutoring is.
Tutoring we provide a peer tutoring free for all students and both core and major specific courses.
We have anywhere from 40 to 60 tutors who work with us and you may have been a tutor yourself and you might also be thinking why would I need tutoring if I was a shooter before and I'm a really strong student and we really encourage you to utilize tutoring. We think tutoring is a best practice to continue to do well in your coursework and our tutoring is located both in our study Hall and in the library on campus. In its Sunday through Thursday 5:00 to 11:00 PM an my big encouragement is you have to do homework anyways, so you might as well do it.
In a location where their tutors around, so then you're able to get the help that you need. If you do have a question that comes up instead of being a room packing up all your stuff and wandering around campus, it's a really encouraging atmosphere. Are tutors are with you in coursework right? A couple years ahead and they really want to help out. And then also we encourage you. We love to encourage students to participate as a tutor as well later on down your academic career. Academic coaching is non subject specific assistance so this is.
Assistance with time management, study skills note taking. How do I make sense of you know five different courses in five syllabi and trying to do well over the course of an entire semester. We really say that high school you're really focused on being in the classroom and a lot of your course work is done there and you have some homework outside college switches that so you're in Class A couple hours a week, and then you're expected to dedicate a good amount of time outside of class work outside, of course, is to do your homework to be studying on your own. Really learning this material.
And we know that that can be a daunting transition. So we want to help you through that. So academic coaching can be one or many a singular or recurring session to be able to talk through what you need to succeed. We really personalize this information. We ask big picture questions. We're not going to tell you exactly what to do and give you all the answers, but we want to help partner with you on this transition to help you understand yourself as a student and how to do well in college.
And then core review sessions. These our review sessions that happen right before big common exams for our core courses. So we will be out reaching to both faculty and knew that are in classes to be able to go over this information into provide just a really large study experience and to go over common questions sometimes will do it more frequently and so that will be really dependent on the class in what the schedule looks like. But with our academic services, we just want to make sure that you know that.
There is a ton of help for you here on campus. We want to make sure that you know that you're not in this alone.
But you can just come to us and come see us if you have any questions or concerns that we're happy to help out.
So academic advising how advising works right now is your first two years. You are with a Casa advisor and our Casa advising we actually break you up in assign you to an advisor based on your last name, and we do this for a couple of reasons. Why do we want you to have one person that you can connect with no matter what major you're exploring, you may have Racine, our newsletter, that admissions newsletters that have been going out. We've been encouraging you to take a look at all the different majors are not going to make programs that miners that exist on campus because we have a lot of different variety of options and a lot of times you might be coming in thinking one specific thing.
But you may not know about all about other different programs, and we want you to understand that, so we're happy to help talk to you about what course look coursework looks like in those majors, and then any sort of career options, grad school options. So we want you to have that information as you're working through your core curriculum, and so that's why we do it based instead of based off of a specific major that you've got it just one point, person, no matter what your major is.
It will help you work through your core curriculum and help you start to make decisions about what major specific coursework you should be going into as you start to kind of dip your toe into that coursework so our our advisors right now are Amy works with students who have last names a thru. See Sadie works with students, have last names D through J. Lisa works with last names, K through P, and Blaster is actually not blaster of our advisor who works with students who have last names. Q Through Z is actually we're hiring right now, so we will have a new advisor to be able to showcase.
And that would be working with students who have last name Q Through Z. So right now if you do have any questions you can reach out to either myself or Amy. Are Casa website has a contact form and will make sure that you get the help that you need. And then there's three and four. You transition to a faculty advisor to work on your upper division coursework.
So our core curriculum I mentioned that this is a can be a little overwhelming side. This is all of our core courses and every student has to complete the core curriculum. No matter what your major is, so typically you're taking these courses at the very beginning of your collegiate career so this upcoming fall semester and likelier into your spring semester. And then you might be taking it kind of threw out as you also introduce major course work into your schedules, so our creative curriculum consists.
Of math, which is calculus 123. Differential equations that second line our science requirements are chemistry. One in physics one are humanities and social science requirement includes N HV. That's a course. It's nature and human values. It's a writing specific course. Global Studies is kind of more of a history course. Principles of economics covers both macro and microeconomics. Everyone has to take a design course, so design one is required. Many students have to go into a design two course as well and then our bottom role we have our.
Success seminars CSM 101. All the cast of advisers teach that many people across campus, so we look forward to seeing you in that class are distributed. Science varies by major, so it's three or more classes in. It's going to be specific to what major you go into, so that's where will really help you identify worse. The overlap in a distributed science and how to make sure that your meeting the requirements of whatever majors are considering right now. Our humanities and social science upper division requirement consist of three courses to mid level courses in one.
400 level course and then physical activity requirement. Everyone needs to complete four separate semesters of PA PA because with P is petroleum engineering soapie can count for ROTC, NCAA Sports Club sports in international sports as well as many different PA offerings and then free electives are required for every major. It's 9.9 or more credits and that can be any credit sometimes. If you're bringing in other AP credit then that might count for free electives or you just might have the ability to take.
Any place that you want to at mines so a lot of information we will continue to.
Grayson Fast
11:11:35 AM
If i plan to play a sport all 4 years can that replace the PA requirement
Roll over it. There won't be a quiz or anything on what is included in the core. I know a big question. You want to know is what does my fall semester look like. So next you'll be hearing for the registrar's office. The registrar's office will register you for your first semester. Schedule every schedule after that. You will register yourself and will be holding registration workshops to walk you through that process and how to do that on your own. But your first semester schedule you can anticipate taking around 16 to 17 credits. It can be a little bit more a little bit.
Jessica Keefer
11:12:03 AM
All varsity and many club sports will count for your PA credit
A little bit less, but this is generally what you can anticipate. Your everyone will be registered for CSM 101. It's a half credit course. Likely you'll be in a math course, calculus or differential equations based on what you're bringing in for API be or transfer dual enrollment credit, you might be an HV design or economics. Likely you'll be in some sort of science class, whether it's chemistry, physics or distributed science, you might be in a PA course and possibly a major specific courses. It really depends on you and your unique situation so.
They're going to take into consideration. Like I said earlier, your API be transferred, dual enrollment credit and move you forward into your intended major, and right now is still the time you might see on many of you have done this already on your applicant portal. You have the ability to confirm or change your intended major because your first semester schedule is going to be based off of that intention major. We really want to make sure that you have done that, so if you haven't done that yet, please go check on your applicant portal and it should be right there for you to update that. If you need to be or just confirm it.
And so then we can make sure that you're in the most appropriate courses for the fall semester.
So your schedule should be out around August 1st. It'll be available on trail head and if you have questions about your schedule, my big ask today is that you contact us but first first before you make any changes. There are some courses that are offered only once a year or once every so often and we want to make sure that you are making progress towards graduation and that nothing is going to stop you from making that progress. So please let us know and just ask us even if it says.
You know we come back and we say, Yep, you're good to go. I think that's a really nice thing to be able to do I have seen it where if someone drops out of classes and then wants to get back in that that can become a challenge. So we are here to help out and we will be ready and ready to answer any of your questions. Whether it's on phone or in person or over email and then we want you to prepare for your first day of classes. Next steps from us. These are just recommendations in July. We will be doing Wednesday webinars and we have some on our website right now. You can watch from years past.
But we encourage you to attend one. You'll be able to answer more Q&A's as we kind of get closer to when your schedules will be released in August. We want you to meet with the Casa Tutor to start this semester strong in September. We hope that you'll attend faculty office hours and participate in a constant review session in October you will be participating in causes, advising workshops in canvas, advising course to prepare. in November, you'll be registering for your spring 2021 courses. This semester will go by really quickly, so again we want you to be thinking about what you need to do right now to set yourself up for success for the fall semester.
Our overall big motivation. We can't wait to meet you. We look forward to working with you and we want you to reach out. If you do have any questions, we have a very extensive FA Q You know specifically geared towards new students on our website that covers a lot of information, but you can reach out to us. Send us an email. It follows on social media and we do really look forward to meeting with you. So thank you for your time.
Jenn, really appreciate you being here this morning to talk with our students and their families about Casa. And as Jenn mentioned, the next presenter is going to be the office of the registrar, so please pay attention as they invite them to come on and explain to you all their role in serving you as new students and what you can expect from their office. So Paul take it away.
Good morning and Good afternoon. Depending on where you're coming from. Thank you for joining us today for our lunch session.

Hum, I'm promise you and the registrar and want to share a little bit of information.
About our offices. In the services that we provide.
You will be interacting with our office throughout your time at Colorado School of mines.
And want to mention a few things and reminders that will help you navigate your first semester and in the years to come at at minds.
And the first is about keeping your personal information updated.
What that means is that your email, your address, your phone number.
Are you keeping that current? If those change, if you move.
Um, please sign up for the emergency alert system that is our ability to text you about changes on campus.
In your case, Lang have snow closures, and that's how that's communicated.
Email is our official means of communication, so all of you will be assigned or have been assigned a mind email address and we will send important communication about registration dropping add dates.
Please make sure that you're reading and checking out on a regular basis.

Hi, Sam- yes, the event started. If your issues persist, please make sure you are using Google Chrome and then log out and back into the webinar.
If you desire, you can forward that account to any other email client such as Yahoo or Gmail.
But I would encourage you to just load that onto your your phones in your devices and keep it separate and making sure that you're checking that on a regular basis.
One of the charges of our offices to protect your academic record and that means that we want to encourage you to keep passwords and your student ID, which we call a quid CW ID save.
From any transactions will be required to present your blaster card.
And Lastly, I want to talk a little bit about Ferpa.
For pie I'm has been around since 1974 and it's a little bit different than high school.
And that you are now the owner and the custodian of your student record. It no longer blocks to your parent or Guardian that belongs to you, the student.
If you desire or wish to share any information or content from your student record, all you need to do is fill out a fribble release form. File that with our office and then we would be glad or anybody else would be glad to talk with parents or guardians accordingly.
So if you're a transfer student coming in the initial review of transfer credits for earned hours, if we have received those transcripts, that is now complete. We actually began on Friday registration of complete schedules for our transfer students.
I am hoping that today we can wrap that up in the next two to three weeks.
If you have credit that is beyond the course of the things that Jenn just showed us.
And the last graphic those will be sent to the department for approval.
Transfer credit can be viewed in trail head on what is called is it 3 audits and this is dependent upon.
What's your intended major is when you run that process?
If you want to see what credit looks like with a different major, you can run was called a what if scenario?
Hopefully navigating through that is fairly straightforward and Intuitive.
If you have questions about your degree audit, you can reach out to us.
Or to Casa and we would be glad to assist you with that.
And as a reminder, please make sure that you have all your final official transcripts sent to cover this whole of minds.
The most frequent question we get is for high school students who are starting college.
Aaron Schwab
11:20:36 AM
What is required to qualify for in-state tuition.
And they took some type of door moment and that woman credit is showing up on their high school transcript. However, we need the source document, so we want the final official transcript from the college or University in which the course credit came from.
If you have questions specifically about.
Any transfer credit, whether your transfer student or an incoming freshman.
Are you can reach out to transfer at minds.edu?
The Office of the registrar will build your schedule for your first semester here.
Again, but I go of registering you for.
15 to 18 hours and we will make sure that it all freshmen have a minimum of 12 hours, which is considered full time.
Is many reasons why we want to build it for schedule?
DePaul Straub
11:21:15 AM
More information regarding in-state tuition and Colorado residency qualifications can be found at: https://catalog.mines.edu/undergraduate/tuitionfeesfinancialassistancehousing/residency/
Why do we have approximately 1200 freshmen joining us in about 150 transfer students?
And all of you were coming with various amounts of credit in a different starting place with in math and science.
Buy us building your schedule. It allows us to add sections where we need them, so classes vary from year to year. Some years will have more students needing cock to another years. We have launched into our starting with Calc one.
And what will do is will add additional sections as we need them to make sure that we're building schedules.
Then they get you towards our private storage degree as Jenn had also mentioned.
We also will take into consideration.
Jen Gagne
11:22:14 AM
Grayson, you will enroll in PA credit for your sport.
Any type of special request that includes everything from the documented medical disability request to you being acquainted, athlete to your interest, and desire to be in music or drama.
Where at if you're in ROTC?
We want to have everything turned back over to you for review by August 1.
During that time, when you get your schedule, it's important to look at that to make sure that.
Uh, all of your transfer credit, including a Peace Corps, is present and accounted for. We like to get that all in place and squared away before the start of the term.
And adjust your schedule if we if we need to.
We do have our deadlines, drawpad periods in the official academic school calendar on our website. Please pay attention and review that.
Classes to begin on August 24th with the census day of September 9th, or census data is the last day that you can add and drop classes from your schedule for this semester.
We will be receiving additional guidance.
um executive team uncovered is full of vines about what the fall schedule will actually look like.
That the plant the moment is to have as much as possible on campus in meeting.
Knowing that we will have some classes online and in a remote remote mode.
That should be out in published by June 15th.
We look forward to you joining us an August.
And if you have questions in between now and then, please reach out to us anytime.
Some of the other offices or some of the other.
Thanks at her office days.
Is that we handle residency for in-state tuition. We process all enrollment verification's we are the.
People that you will go through to request an issue transcripts.
We are also the administrator of VA educational benefits.
And you have not yet started the process. You will want to do that is soon as possible. It does take some time to go back and forth between the VA and the institution to get everything in place.
If you have questions about any of our VA benefits, you can reach out to our school certifying official Jamie Taylor and her email is here, including the slides.
With that I will turn this.
Alright, thank you so much Paul. I'm in I'm going to invite Jenn back on the screen and together genannt paw. We will go through the questions that you've also admitted learning the last chunk of time and again I will moderate this portion of the session. And if we can't get to all the questions we will of course answer them for you and get back in touch with you with answers.
So we will start off. We have actually a whole chunk of questions so I will go ahead and get started.
This question is about summer session two, the E3 program.
Will it be able to be taken online?
I'm not sure I don't know, Jen knows.
Perfect, that would be wonderful things much.
I'm jealous is a question for you for your office. When can students apply to become tutors and what does that process look like and use? If you heard about that?
Along the same lines with tutoring Jenn Well, the tutoring processed or the way it works change because there's a little distant seen, as during may be virtually that thing, or what looks like it on.
I think it's going to be for either of you, but is there a different design course for the Honors Program?
Should people think questions that they have questions about schedules in their transfer credits to those questions, go to Casa or the registrar's office?
I guess it depends on what the question is right? So if there are questions about how something fits in, that would be directed to the Casa.
With a question about where is my credit?
That would be directed to us.
Is there a deadline for getting scores sent from College Board so AP exam scores? Is there a deadline for those scores to be sent to your office?
So we will receive a batch of all the test scores that students have released to us around like 1.
So if you haven't done it yet, please do so.
Because it takes them several days before.
And they will be able to make it available for us as long as it's in. I would say by mid June.

This is the Summer II course schedule: https://www.mines.edu/registrar/summer-ii-2020-course-schedule/
Um, that that should be sufficient time for the July 1 release date. If you don't send us your AP scores.
Tomorrow happened, it's just that will start registering you based upon the information that we have.
So if you took up one apian, you getting credit for that and we don't got that score. We're going to register you for that one.
So it's super super important that if you do have any AP scores that you get those released to us. This will also include releasing any scores that you may have taken your sophomore or junior year.
I need to make sure that you release all of those scores so that we have the whole picture.
This is a pretty broad question, but in general how in person classes look like in the fall.
That's a That's a bit unknown. Still working on the plans right now to extend set to ensure the safety of everybody on campus.
We should have that finalized by June 15th. what I can say is that we're going to have as much as we possibly can face to face.
Um, there will be some things that will be remote.
Our focus on in person classes are going to be on the freshman cord.
And so the classes that Janet's poker of with glasses that we want to make sure that we are doing face to face for that true for sheer experience.
I can also say that we are implementing within the classroom, some social distancing etiquette and rules.
How that is going to actually ship out is what we're working on right now.
Is there anyway that I can minor in a language? Is that an option?
For a complete list of all of the programs, if you go to catalog.mines.edu and we can share. That link has a pretty detailed description in the undergraduate catalog.
Of all majors, minors, we also have something called an ASI, which is an area of special interest. There's a lot of students will opt into.
This question is sort of about a club sports and replacing the credit so it says. How do we let the Registrar's office? No, if we plan to participate in a club sport in orange, replace the PA credit before they put it on our schedule.
So one of the things that we will do is register varsity athletes into their PA class.
Otherwise, four PA credit. Once we release the schedule to students, they will be able to select.
And the appropriate PA course. Or if you're planning on participating in a club sport, there will be information about about that. Students who do participate in a club sport athletics will give us that list and then we will register them for that particular club sport.
Alright, so we have a couple of questions about AP IB scores. The first one is how do they see? How do they know if their AP scores were received by minds?
Uhm, and then the broken pieces, uhm?
Actually, I will affect the first question.
Sure, so students should have a College Board account. It should be able to log on to make sure that cover disposal binds is listed.
As an institution that you are sending your scores too.
Because the admission process often starts with their incoming students their junior year, and they're not quite sure where they want to go to school until their senior year, or until they've been accepted.
They may or may not have sent in the requested scores to be sent in, so it's it's. It's a good thing to go in at least verify that we are. You have requested us to be set to.
This next question is, will Casa Advisors deduct for API be credit and reach out to students to see what other elective classes they want to try before selecting their classes? This might be the Registrar Office as well.
Or will you just assign people classes and then they will go in and commit changes that they want to?
Yeah, so our our whole again is to get every incoming student with a full time schedule.
I miss Janice said that that.
Turns out to be between 15 and 17 hours.
If you have credit that can be applied towards your degree free and let it or not, we will do so.
If you decide that you want to take a different elective and not count that credit will work with Casa and and we can certainly do that.
We have a question, let's see where official transcripts do, and I have not finished my senior year yet. There still taking classes right now when they need to be sitting there. Transcript two admission.
Victor Baez
11:37:22 AM
what is the AP score to be accepted?
As soon as soon as your done, um, at many institutions, you conflict theory. Question now, prior to the end of the semester, so that when grades are finally submitted, annuar.
High school diploma is completion of high school is. It's done that I'll be able to send us out in Mass.
Jen Gagne
11:37:44 AM
Victor, here's the full list of AP information: https://www.mines.edu/registrar/advanced-placement/
If you need to wait until it's time, then just do it as soon as humanly possible after after it's posted.
We we do understand that there are delays and transcripts for lots of different reasons.
I guess I'll put my doubt that you may see and trailhead if you're logging on your schedule change so we may register you for 12 or 15 hours and then lay tape. Credit comes in a way.
Uh, of course, comes in with IB transfer. Credit comes in and so then little rearranging. Adjust your schedule to accommodate with that new credit.
If I'm interested in ROTC, how will those classes be integrated with our normal classes?
So obviously student some.
If you are interested in your not yet participating, you want to reach out to them the list of participants does come from that office, and some of those classes are held off campus, and so we will register you for those ROTC courses and then we will build the rest of your schedule around with those classes, which also includes the ability for travel time.
If I go into the academic semester undecided, how does that affect my schedule? What electives will I be taking potentially?
Show me to speak. I think I think overall the Registrar's office is going to move you forward towards graduation because the core courses core curriculum is required for all students. That's really what you're focused on. So in thinking about free electives or other courses with which the ones that you have choice those you won't be in those you know your first semester just to be totally Frank, those are ones that you can take later on because we want to make sure that you're moving forward in the calculus sequence that you're getting into your science courses.
Really, where it comes down to it? If if it's a distributed science, there are some that are more, you know, overlapping and count for more major, so that could be a course that you're in. Or another course that is specifically required for all students, no matter what you're made for is so pool. If you want to add anything else but.
I, I think that that it's a dunderhead that really it's about the the core your first semester most often will see that a student.
Um, there's probably 100 or so that have most of their core done by the time they're starting minds, and so that does allow and give you. I guess the Belletti to have electives, but as gens.
For the majority of you, it will be starting your software here in junior and senior year that you're really start picking up the selected or adding on a minor or an AFI.
Yeah, in and I'd say if you my other piece of advice if you are considering still a couple different majors and we're asking you to put one down on that intended major form, that's a great opportunity to talk with us. As of August 1st and say, OK, I put this major down, but I'm really thinking these other two and will work with you individually to say, OK, let's make sure everything is set and then if we need to make any changes at that point in time will be able to do that together.
Alright, let's see the next question.
Um Jenison for you? Um, do you? Do you want students to contact you or in your office? Or four schedules come out in August? If the student wants to minor in music or take specific music classes, or would you rather have them get their schedule? Then contact your office and let them know you want to make some changes.
I will say it's always, you know, once your schedules are out, then we'll be able to really help out with that. But Paul is there anything specific about music that you get first?
Other than admissions, will let us know if there any specific programs.
Otherwise, once we release this schedule will include a link of the other classes that you can add, which would include music drama, P classes.
Yeah, so so knowing that an then contacting us once your schedules out, then we'll be able to help you through that.
Are there college credits applied for ROTC classes or art classes?
You do get that P credit.
I think that's I think that's that's it.
I don't know Jen. If you know if there's additional ROTC credit.
I believe that we do actually have a minor an I'm just pulling it up so.
Making sure that it's still there.
Jen Gagne
11:43:31 AM
https://catalog.mines.edu/undergraduate/programs/additionalprograms/militaryscience/#minortext
Military science. So yes, we do have a military science minor and does have specific information. I will send the link out to it in the chat so everyone can see it.
Appalled, you just pay any changes in regards to credit for AP due to the altered exams this year that students who are experienced.
And he credit change. Is that the cow KB subtests was not offered? And So what mines had done is we're allowing the sub score for PC with a 3.
Taking a few cop one credit.
In prior years, that was not given.
That that's that's the only change I know for for AP.
Uh, the credit that we were doing, really, except.
Uh, my side of link posted. I think Jenn posted it just a bit ago, but link on there for Advanced Placement is there with all the scores that are required for credit.
Where can we find information on sending college transcripts for do enrollment, for example, specifically the recipient email address, what should they put on the requesting their transcripts to be sent?
Transcript requests should go to admissions. There is a place for you to indicate on the admissions portal.
That those transcripts, most institutions when you look that up.
And request a transcript literally. If you just type cloud to school of mines.
Five or six vendors that are in the space of issuing transcripts know where exactly this into those.
So if you just go to the institution where you took like read it and make that request, they'll know where to send that transcript 2.
You trying to go through other questions to make sure I haven't missed anything that you both could answer?
This question may or may not be for you, and maybe for it. I TS, but eventually a student.
Used an email address to establish their portal account that they no longer have access to, and so they tried looking for a way to change the email, but they have been able to. How would they go about fixing that? They do you want to end the Contacts at minds?
That might be admissions actually, because admissions, does, you know, see the applicant portal. So I would think that they would have the ability to go in and change that. So I would start there.
So that you know who wrote about having portal access issues, admissions at mind, the Edu is where you want to, at least initially email or you can call their office to have them look at that portal for you.
And research appropriate, you know for you.
I think the the I think the only other question that I see that you might be able to answer maybe not so much to answer for the student after this, but I haven't been able to get the enrollment verification for a scholarship.
Asking for it, is it just too early to get that still?
Is there a freshman we can't verify moment until after they registered?
Uh, if they need a verification that they've been admitted or an accepted student, we can certainly do that.
Why did they just doing in Roman verification of enrollment status, which means it registered for classes?
There's nothing there unless there are transfer students.
So we begin that process in the first week of July.
There are specific questions they can reach out if you go to remind.edu/registrar. We have some chat functionality and you can speak with one of our staff. If that didn't answer your question.
Sing about Calc a BBC and others, and how that sort of map to cop 1, two and three. So can you talk a little about how you sort of take those AP classes and map them to the calc sequence?
Yeah, so the line put in chat. It has all of the AP exams and their scores.
Uh, what we'll do is we get a massive file from the College Board and we upload that to our computer information system.
And then apply credit based on their scores that correspond with credit for those classes.
What's next time will run various reports to then see who like out one. Talk to your country credit so that we know which class to place. You went after that.
Great thank you. Uh, we have a question about path no pass. Uhm, and what determines credits at mind? So I think the student is asking.
Is path for no past? That was this part of the last semester at the spring? Is that going to be moving forward the same? Or what's the options for pass no pass for this coming fall potentially.
So pastor pass wasn't a thing of prior to 19 and we created that option for our current students during the spring semester because we changed in the middle of the semester. The format in which we were teaching.
Yeah, we wanted to provide the most options and flexibility and success for the current coursework and so we allowed to pass of anything of C minus or better to union towards progress towards their degree.
Institutions around the country.
US students with the no pass. What we did is we.
Did not treat that like a failing grade. It was basically similar or more similar to withdrawing from the class. If they did receive.
The plan at the moment is to not offer past no pass option.
Spell plan also is to be on semester the entire term.
Yes, for some reason that is disrupted.
That will probably come back on the table, but as of right now it's not going to be available for incoming students.
OK, so then can you just clarify then a little bit about what? How do you get? How do you get credit at mines and is it a deer? Better so you better. What qualifies for getting?
Got it from the class that ends.
Sure, so normally pass passing classes D minus competitor, but there's other things that play into that, such as you need to maintain a GPA of 2.0 or better.
We also plays into that of course, is within your major, some major.
And some courses within that to advance to the next class you have to have a higher grade than that, such as I see you better.
Uhm, but progress towards your degree just in general would be a D minus your better right? So if you were in calcarine differential equations.
Anuar civil engineering and that was the last math class and you got a D minus.
And you had a 3.5 then you would be perfectly fine.
Right, if you read chemistry too.
And you gotta do minors. And you were a chemistry major.
And chemistry requires to see you better. You would have to reduce history too. So there's a lot of variables that come into play about that, but those are the general guidelines.
We've asked question from a student that says if I have transfer credit that will cover some of my first semester classes, does that mean that I will have fewer classes in my first semester or will later classes be brought forward to fill the gap?
That's a great question, and that's exactly why the registers office builds the first semester of classes, because students really do start all over the place. And if you come in with half of your first semester done.
We have the ability to add additional sections of those. What would be normal second semester freshman courses to the fall so that you can have a full schedule of classes.
A question can I use my uh in class grades instead of my AP scores to get credit for Calc Abe?
I would need to know what in class grade there. Speaking of, if it's an in class grade of the college course at a college or University Community College, then we would also grant credits.
For that count workhorse, you can't earn the same credit for the same course, so if they have both an AP score that would give them, say, cop one credit and it took calc one at the Community College both result in earning credit for top one and we just with both.
So I think maybe like if a student may be saying the figure. I got an A for example in Calc Abe would they? Would that a maybe give them a credit for that? I think the answer is no correct.
So all transferred Friday you don't get the GPA but you fix the credits. So the way that we transcript that is that it's a great of a T.
So it's a credit in progress towards the degree, but it does not affect your GPA.
Thank you question about can I still take electives, even if most of my AP scores transfer as elective credit?
So the overall goal is to meet the minimum degree requirements and each semester.
That that you're taking full time.
My students were will complete their minds degree within four years.
By taking additional credits.
You could run into financial aid issues.
Time is Lisa courses that you're taking or counting towards your degree. You can take this as many credits as you want.
OK, and I think this last question if I'm playing a varsity sport in the fall, am I able to take a lighter courseload about 15 credits. For example, instead of a heavier courseload.
Yeah, for incoming college athletes they generally will fall into the 12 to 15 point our range.
Father, incidentally, did announced that they are moving forward with the.
Fall sports schedule mostly as it has been planned, there's been a few changes with the number of games and games.
Within our region, the Athletics website has that schedule and as the NCAA is releasing that supports schedule or play schedule will make adjustments to that.
But as far as coursework as we absolutely want to make sure that our collegiate athletes are successful.
So at this point I just want to say thank you to Jan and Paul for being here today with us to answer questions, students and family members. If you ask any additional questions will make sure that we get those answered for you and get those back to you as well. But I do want to take a quick break about four minutes and then we'll have our last chunk of presentations come on. So again, thank you so much for being here today and we will have a quick break and will start back up at noon.
Mountain Standard Time. Thank you all.
Alright everyone, welcome back. I know there's a quick break, but hopefully we're going to now move on an I like to call this last chunk of presentations without health and Wellness. So we're going to be able to hear from the student Health Center 1st and then the counseling center will come on and present next. And then Kathy from the ship program with him. If you have questions about will come on and resent last.
So I do want to invite Christy, who I see this already broadcasted to be able to take over and talk to you all about the Health Center and what services they provide to US new students. And then we'll talk. Then we'll hear from the counseling center and then ship. So Christy take it away.
Chrissy, I think you're muted.
All right, thanks so much Christy. A man at this time. Now we're going to move on to the next presentation, which is going to be the counseling center and it looks like Jennifer is already here with us, so I will let never take it over.
Jennifer, it looks like you are muted. You might need to unmute yourself.
This is my first time using this platform. OK, all right. My name is Jennifer Hannon. I am the associate director of the counseling center, an I'd like to just take a few minutes to walk you through where we're located in the services we provide your students. We are right above the Health Center in the Wellness Center. We are on the 2nd floor and we have our own.
Front desk so students that come to see counselors just come upstairs and check in at the front area.
Let's say OK. So one thing I want to highlight is the our website counseling.mines.edu. If you and I would encourage you to go to the website and see all the services available, I'll be talking some more about. We also have some online screening tools that you can access there an A lot of different resources, but that will tell you a lot about us. You'll see staff there.
We are Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 and we are staffed by all state license mental health providers.
There are several ways to schedule appointment. I would say over 90% of our students tend to schedule online, so if you go to our website you can request an appointment and then somebody gets back to you. Our front desk person gets back to you very quickly.
OK, um so kind of the basics. This are free services for students at mines your your student fees cover our services so there's no co-pay. You don't use your insurance to come see counselors at the counseling center there all confidential involuntary so yeah, just know that we are a resource for you and they're designed to really help students complete their mind. Sturdy successfully.
OK, so some of the top presenting issues and we always get questions about this every year and this is pretty consistent across the country.
Anxiety is the number one thing we see in the counseling center. UM, that's followed by stress management, which is no surprise. Mines is demanding academic environment, but also it's stressful to start, you know, just to adjust to leaving home. Maybe for the first time.
Having and living on campus and just a whole new world.
Free, you know I always like to normalize that because even people that don't think that they're going to struggle with it are, you know, will tell parents. Hey, I, you know I'm I'm really looking forward to getting out of here and going and starting my life.
As an adult, they also it's one of those things where it's just it can catch people off guard, but any change is good, but it's also anxiety provoking. We also see depression, different adjustment issues, an you know we do have students come in if they're struggling academically as well.
OK, so we operate under a step care model and I'll show you a diagram of that in just a minute, but we do any of our students can request an individual consultation with any of the counselors and we assist with any kind of developmental adjustment issues. We do utilize a strengths based solution, focused brief intervention model.
We see a lot of people first single session, but we see people be on that as well. We have a lot of skills seminars that we offer to end. The ones that we have found to get the most use or the most requested are the ones that we repeat monthly for students. We have also started initiating in the spring drop in office hours. So kind of like when you meet with the professor or a teacher.
During their office hours, you can also do that with the counselor in over the sermons were doing that on Mondays and Thursdays. My guess is that will those will be the same dates but will have all the up-to-date information in the fall listed on our website. We do crisis intervention. We also have a case manager, a dedicated case manager who helps connect people with resources outside the counseling center. So if somebody has seen a therapist may be ongoing.
During high school and would like that level of care something beyond what we're able to offer at the counseling center.
She can definitely help you get hooked up with through your insurance to see someone that, if maybe you want to stick with one person throughout your journey at minds she can. She can assist with that again when you go to our website you'll see some of the online screenings that are all anonymous. We also have something called therapist assisted online or Tau that is something as soon as you have your mind's email address you can access and register for.
And all you need there's no fee for it. We contract with them. You just instead of using like a Gmail account, you or you would just need to use your mind's email account and you can register for they have all sorts of resources available to you.
And we also do a number of outreach presentations. We have a outreach coordinator that goes into the rest halls into the Greek system, just pretty much wherever we're out. Sometimes the grad students for a program and will put something together for you.
OK, so with our step care model. Uhm, I just want to describe a little bit of what it is because while a lot of universities use this, it's often new to people coming from a high school setting. But it's a multi leveled approach and it starts with the most affective but the least intensive step. So that might be coming to a skill seminar.
Or attending a Wellness workshop emotional well-being workshop, which are in groups of three where you get a workbook, one of them, for instance, probably our most popular one is called anxiety tool box, and then you meet every week for three weeks in a row.
And work on tools and solutions just to help you manage anxiety. Again, this is that solution focused strength based approach.
OK, and here is the graphic that will show you a lot of the different steps.
We also work with the Health Center, so if somebody is looking for medication we can give referrals to see a provider down there who can help with medications.
And we also released so many resources on campus and supports for students that we would like to get people hooked up with the right ones. That can really help them address whatever concerns are having.
OK, so just some reminders of the care team. That's something parents and students can access if they have any concerns about themselves or another student. We also have Colorado crisis services and we have all this information on our website. Every or Digger again that ow? I mentioned Inuit minds is another really good resource. And again, once you have your minds email, you can sign up and kind of create an account tailored for you.
That will give you articles on Wellness in different things. Just kind of to help you be successful at mines.
Sorry, having trouble loading this next slide.
Sorry hi, I'm yelling. I'm a student benefits coordinator at Colorado School of mines and as a condition of enrollment, all students at Colorado School of mines are required to have health insurance. All students will see the charge for the student health insurance on their student account and then those students with approved waivers will see the waiver credit.
We are very fortunate to be able to offer excellent coverage to our students. The cost for the 2000 twenty 21 academic year will be $2450 that will be billed half in the fall and half in the spring. Our coverage begins August 1st of 20 and continues to August 1st of 2021. We are ship program has an in network deductible of $0.00. So that means that it starts covering from your first prescription from your first visit to the doctor.
It has a total out of pocket of $2000 maximum. So when all your copays and coinsurance is add up to $2000, which um, then you won't pay anymore. Our current coverage has no pre existing condition clause, so if you have a health issue, if you have diabetes or asthma is something like that, you will be covered on the ship from the first day of coverage. We have a three tier prescription drug plan, all generics, or $15 and name brands are either 30 or $60.00.
The ship coverage includes coverage for NCAA athletics.
And our ship plan is ACA compliant. We're we use a national PPO Network were using the anthem PPO network this upcoming year. So if you are from another state, if you are from, say, Idaho, you will be able to find providers in network providers. There all doctors visits or a $25 copay. Whether it's a primary care or specialist and you do not need a referral on the ship plan to see a specialist.
Many of you will have coverage with your parents. Or, uh, perhaps a spouse, a man? Then you would like to waive the ship coverage in order to waive the ship coverage. Your current coverage has to have a lifetime maximum of at least $2,000,000. Your coverage needs to be in effect from the first day of classes and continue the entire academic year. Your current coverage cannot contain a pre existing condition clause.
And you have to have providers in the Denver Metro area if you are in an HMO. Out of state, you will need to call your insurance company and see if you can get a visitor card. Say if you're in California and you're with a Kaiser play in there. You wanna get a visitor card for Cala. Rado Kaiser is very easy to work with that way as his anthem, but go ahead and give your current insurance a call and see if you can get that visitor card. If you are in an HMO.
You have to have your current coverage has to include prescription drug benefits. You have to have an in that work out of pocket of $8000 annually or less and your current coverage has to provide at least 20 inpatient. Or excuse me 20 outpatient mental health and 30 inpatient mental health days. If your plan that you're currently on meats ACA, the Affordable Care Act requirements, it will meet our requirements to wave.
The waiver process is is handled on line are waiver enrollment for fall begins July 15th of 2020 and you can begin your waiver or enrollment at that time if you want. If you are choosing to enroll in the ship plan, we would very much encourage you to go ahead an enroll as soon as you can so that you'll have your card and prescription set up when the coverage starts on August 1st. As I said, it's opens July 15th.
And then it ends Census Day September 4th. As I said, all students are charged for the ship and then those with approved waivers will see the waiver credit.
A man you access the waiver through your trailhead account or by going to CS m.myhp.com. And as I said so the charge for the ship even if you have a waiver is not going to disappear from your student account. You'll see the charge and then you'll see a corresponding waiver credit and students only need to wave once each academic year. So if you wave in the fall and then your waiver will roll to the spring, Anne will apply in summer. If you're taking classes then as well.
If you would like to contact me, you can email ship@mines.edu and here's the, UM, the link to the health insurance for students. If or you can just go to mines.edu and search for the student health insurance welcome. We're glad you're coming in the fall.
All right, uhm yeah, good question. So no, are pharmacy is not like a typical pharmacy. We just carry some medications that we would prescribe here so they don't fill prescriptions from other or it wouldn't fill prescriptions from other providers. So you could just take that prescription to any pharmacy. There's a Walgreens very close Safeway very closed.
Um and you could get that filled their. Sometimes they can just transfer that prescription. If it's like a Walgreens, they can just transfer it to your Walgreens. If if it's something that like your primary care provider fails and for some reason you want, you could come to see us and then we could give you a different prescription new prescription as well.
Have any any cases before the shutdown?
Yeah, so that can be done through trailhead. I believe you all have access to get to trail head and there is a health portal. That's one of the common questions, so there's very detailed instructions on the student health website that will kind of walk you through that, but just through the health portal through trailhead.
Uhm, yes, so so meningitis B is, uh, is there's two different meningitis vaccines ACWY MB the ACWY is the only one that we recommend. If you're living on campus. Uhm, the B is not recommended, but we do still encourage it. Does that answer your question?
Yeah, feel free to also call. Call us directly and we're here. We have limited hours but we can walk you through that as well.
Correct, exactly correct.
Right, 'cause we're still processing summer enrollments. We have summer one and summer two enrollments in waivers that we're doing, but thank you for the question.
Yeah yeah, still there is a waiver. An uhm on line.
The same the same spot. The trailhead health portal.
Yeah, so it's it's regarding mental health coverage. There's some plans that don't meet ACA requirements. Sometimes will not include mental health and so we require that, um, are in that the insurance you used to wave has the mental health, which means that you can see a counselor not in the house, not the counseling center, but on an outside counselor for 20 visits annually an at least 30 inpatient days. If you would have to. Not if someone would need to see.
To be hospitalised for some kind of mental health issue, we need your coverage to include 30 days for that.

Is it possible to put the link of the SHIP program into the chat so I can copy and paste it?

It would depend. So typically the ship feed does not show up in the cost of attendance because it's a requirement that all Americans have health insurance. An international students are required to have health insurance as well. That would be a question for financial aid. I know sometimes there scholarships and their aid does include that, but if you did not have health insurance, please email me and then I can work with you, Anne financial aid and see.
What the correct answer? 'cause it's it? It's per it's specific to you. Usually we can't really say broadly.
Um, that's a brand and I I forget which manufactured which one that is. So I'm. I'm not sure if you wanna if if they wanted to call us we could check.
There's a couple of different brands and I'm not. I'm not sure about that one.

This one should hopefully work for you all
That depends, yeah, so it's it's student. Uhm so if you do take the screening, which is a few questions on line.
And your screen is positive. Uhm, it depends. Sometimes we do the the PPD skin test pack or the blood test it it's very student dependent.
So the waiver enrollment begins July 15th, and you we would like you to actively enrolled. Go on in is to that same link in that way that assures that your coverage will be set up and ready to go. If you don't do anything. If you do not wave and you do not enroll, we will passively enroll you on census day.
But that's so it's gonna be about mid September before you're fully active. If you want ship coverage and you don't do anything if you wait to enroll. So uhm, I would highly highly encourage you to actively enroll. So if you know you're going to want ship coverage an it is on your student account. But it, even if you full it like it, if you pay your bill, you know, uhm, July 28th and you've paid all your fees and you think, oh, that's going to enroll me in the ship. It's not.
Uhm, you need to go on and actively enroll in that way. If you need something, a prescription or you hurt your ankle, then we'll have you set up and ready to go.
So if you go to the website, that makes gonna put up for you on the minds. It's mines.edu student insurance are just the, UM, my website. All the criteria to waver listed there. They are also listed at the CS m.myhpcare.com, and if you would like to or if you want if you have questions like any wonder if you're.
Current coverage meets requirements. Check those out and then if you need to email me, please feel free to email me. I'm happy to talk to anybody.
Did that answer the question that you put it up right, yeah?
Yeah, good question. So we're we're actively and we have been actively working on that. Um, we're we're working with local and state health departments to create best practices. Just a few things we have that we have done in the past month.
Is that we're limiting the number of students for inpatient appointments were doing a lot of telemedicine? Uhm, and encouraging that if it's not able to be done through telemedicine, you can come in, but we're kind of limiting the number of students in the clinic at times.
Changing the days that are the Times that we have six hours and while hour. So sick and well people aren't in the in the clinic together as well as we just put in best practice things like we're going to, you know there's hand sanitizer everywhere. We do have some.
Plastic screens and separate waiting rooms, uhm.
And Yeah, but it's an on going process, but um, that's yeah, just a few things.
Yeah, yeah, so there's no, there's no copay when you come to the Health Center everything is covered up. If we do refer you out there, there is likely a copay and I think, Kathy. You probably would.
No, a little bit more about that than I would.
And so some of the blood tests that they draw in the Health Center you most of it is covered by your student fee. But there may be occasion that if you had a blood draw or something in the Health Center than that they would bill your insurance. If the Health Center refers you out say you hurt your knee and they say Oh, you need to go see an orthopedic person, then if you're on this ship, your Co pay is going to be $25 and then any Co insurance like for an X-ray more basically and.
8020 plan so if an X-ray is $50 I outside of the Health Center, it's going to cost you $10 and the insurance will pay 440. Excuse me.
That extra enough questions.
And I did want to say that the ship coverage does include kovid testing. I had a question from a current student, whether that was looking to get antibody testing and if you do, if you're on the ship and you do need are want antibody testing that will be covered as a preventive care. So there's no Co pay for that.
Yeah, so um, we're still working out all those details so.
Uhm, yeah, we will pass that information along as as we do have an Emergency Management Committee whose and task forces working to come up with some solution. So we will convey that as soon as we make a decision on that.
I can also talk to that, uh?
So yeah, we did. We do have a lot of, um, mental health resources on campus. Um, there's there's so many group some. There's a meditation mindful meditation group on Mondays. Uhm, we do have a substance substance abuse group. Uhm sleep, you know that everything but there's multiple resources. Some of them are student led and then some of them also our counselor.
But yeah, if you if you visit the counseling center or the Health Center, we can point you in the right direction. There's a ton of resources here.
Uhm yeah, I'm not. I'm not sure about specifics on that, um?
I would yeah we we can, uh, if you have specific questions you can reach us and we can work with you, but.
I'm not, I'm not sure about that yet.

There is also Active Minds at Minds, which is a student group advocating for mental health.
Yeah, I'm not sure about that. Yeah, I think the international office if it's international would be a good um, good contact for, but as far as Quarantine, we do not have anything set up yet. And but I'm sure will be passing up that information soon.
It's going to be virtual.
Yeah, that's a good question. Uhm?
I'm not aware how they're going to do that.
